Perennial red-carpet queen Reese Witherspoon let her hair down last night, as the actress chose a more quirky get-up than usual for the TIFF 2013 premiere of Devil’s Knot. The black and white botanical-print dress from Jason Wu’s Resort 2014 collection was a welcome change from her typically solid, structured red carpet looks. Complete with crisscross detailing, a plunging neckline, and accessorizing with fun green Jimmy Choo heels and Tiffany & Co. jewels, Witherspoon’s well-put together look had us so enraptured we (almost) forgot about her less than stellar headlines earlier this year.
Witherspoon was joined by co-stars Colin Firth—looking very A Single Man in his slim navy Tom Ford suit, white shirt, and textured tie—and True Blood’s Stephen Moyer who, like many of the men this week, ditched the tie altogether as he posed for selfies with fans.
Director Atom Egoyan introduced newbies Dane DeHaan and Alessandro Nivola—all three looking very dapper in simple black and white, DeHaan in Dior Homme. Other relative newbie Mireille Enos wore a drop-dead, chili pepper red (it rhymes!) Catherine Malandrino Resort 2014 confection. The silk jersey dress featuring a keyhole neckline was styled with gold accessories by Jimmy Choo and H. Stern. Also an accessory? Her husband Alan Ruck A.K.A. CAMERON FROM FERRIS BUELLER’S DAY OFF! Day made.
